BIOCLEAN biotechnology decomposes organic substances - in particular grease from private households, industry or catering - in wastewater directly in the sewer. This decomposition of grease and a variety of other organic substances ensures continuous drainage - the grease in the sewer acts like glue and causes deposits and even blockages. The wastewater ‘rots’ in the sewer and H2S is formed.
Even in low concentrations, this H2S (hydrogen sulphide) smells very strongly and has an extremely unpleasant effect on people. In higher concentrations, H2S is deadly! H2S also reacts to concrete and ‘eats away’ concrete sewers and concrete shafts. BIOCLEAN sewer cleaning prevents H2S formation and all these unpleasant problems are a thing of the past.

On 26 August 2019, Bioclean began to be used at the pumping station and the results speak for themselves. Before the introduction of our product, the H₂S (hydrogen sulphide) levels in the pumping station were alarmingly high. With average values between 21 ppm and 37 ppm (maximum values: 97 ppm), it was impossible for city employees to enter the station without respiratory protection. These high levels not only led to serious health risks, but also to complaints from neighbouring residents.
With Bioclean, we have achieved an impressive improvement: H₂S levels have been permanently reduced to just 0.5 ppm. This drastic reduction has not only improved the air quality, but also made working conditions considerably safer. The use of respiratory masks is now no longer necessary and employees can enter the pumping station without any health concerns.

The DOSING SYSTEMS

BIOCLEAN biotechnology is generally dosed in liquid form directly into the wastewater in pumping stations, shafts and structures. Existing dosing systems can be used for this dosing or new systems can be installed by us.
If no existing systems are available, we can design and install the most efficient systems for you and offer them at a favourable price. These systems can also be powered completely autonomously using alternative energy sources
There is also the BIOCLEAN depot storage variant. This involves manual bulk dosing into our special inorganic-based storage tank.
With this variant, only the buffer tank needs to be positioned in the system in a flow-favourable position and an easily accessible refilling facility needs to be planned and installed. We will be happy to plan and install the buffer tank for you.
