How does BIOCLEAN SEWER CLEANING work?
​
The BIOCLEAN Biotechnology is a special combination of bacteria (on average 400 million organisms per millilitre), created for a wide range of applications in the agricultural and industrial sectors. It is a non-pathogenic product, non-toxic and harmless.
​
Biotechnology has been developed from a variety of naturally occurring bacterial species existing on our planet which have been cultivated for compatibility in order to reproduce themselves and grow to maturity. The different populations live in symbioses, that is, they grow simultaneously using metabolic products coming from other organisms.
After incubation, when the reproduction phase is over, the bacteria become dormant again and remain in this state. Should more impurities build up, the bacteria come alive again and reproduce while they attack the material in the water that causes clogs.
BIOCLEAN biotechnology works in aerobic & anaerobic conditions, with or without light, in an environment of low to high oxygen concentration and low to high alkalinity. It is suitable for use in all climates. Even after freezing and thawing, our bacteria continue to work normally.

DOSING SYSTEMS

BIOCLEAN biotechnology is generally dosed in liquid form in the sewage water of pumping stations, manholes and construction sites. Existing dosing systems can be used for this process or new systems can be installed by us.
In case there is no pre-existing system in place, we can design and install the most efficient, cost-effective set-up for you. These systems can also be powered by alternative energy sources so that they can operate completely autonomously (e.g., solar or wind energy).
We also offer the BIOCLEAN septic tank variant. This is a manual form of bulk dosing which takes place in our special tank of inorganic compounds. In this variant, the buffer tank must be placed to aid flow in the system and an easily accessible refill opening should be designed and installed. We are at your disposal to help you design this plan as well as install the buffer tank.

The effect of BIOCLEAN SEWER CLEANING
​
BIOCLEAN biotechnology decomposes organic matter - in particular, grease, which comes from households, industry or restaurants - in sewage water directly in the sewer. Through the decomposition of grease and a variety of other organic substances, continuous drainage is ensured - the grease in the ducts and sewage systems acts as an adhesive and causes impurities to build up to the point of blockage. The sewage water “rots” in the duct and H2S forms.

This H2S (hydrogen sulfide) has a very strong smell even in low concentrations and is extremely unpleasant to humans. In higher concentration, H2S may be fatal! H2S also reacts with concrete and “eats through” concrete drainage and concrete shafts. BIOCLEAN sewer cleaning prevents H2S formation and handles all these unpleasant problems.

At the beginning of each treatment, double bulk doses must be used for 3 months (weekly application). This is the starting and conditioning phase of the treatment to form the BIOCLEAN sewer cleaning solution. Subsequently, you may start applying the regular dosage.
